Wedding Gift

For my friends' (Sam and Anna) wedding I decided to make them an art piece. I used their wedding invitation to construct this fun wedding day commemorative art.

I decoupaged the canvas, painted it with acrylic paints, cut up their wedding invitation and glued the pieces onto the canvas, and tried to paint a picture of them.


Here is the funniest part. This is the first draft and Sam ended up looking like a woman so I call this the "Ellen and Portia" wedding.



I then painted over Sam's head to try again and tried to paint him with no hair cause every since I have known him he has had a shaved head. When I did the bald head he looked like an alien.

So this is the final product. Sam has on a fedora, which I figured could cover up his bald head, and somehow he now looks like Justin Timberlake.



Anyways they love it-- so mission accomplished.
